American Safety Programs & Training Inc. was founded in April 2006 with the sole purpose of “Teaching Others to Save Lives”. We dedicate ourselves on being the most knowledgeable, efficient, and professional teaching facility - offering classes, courses and programs in the Emergency Medical Services and Health Care Industry.
We have become one of the largest Community Training Centers for the American Heart Association in Rhode Island as well as the American Safety Health Institute. We currently have over 14 Training Sites under us such as Hospitals, Private Institutions, Fire Departments, Health Care Facilities and many more. We have training sites in RI, MA, CT, SC, and FL with over 250 affiliated instructors. Our instructors have certifications ranging in every aspect of the health care industry, to teach a variety of accredited courses in the Health Care and Emergency Medical Services Industry.
We are also one of the largest teaching facilities in the state for EMT’s. We currently offer the National Registered EMT-Basic and National Registered Advanced EMT/ RI Cardiac. We have close to 20 EMS Instructor Coordinators associated with our company. We offer only the highest quality education for EMT’s in the state.
American Safety Programs & Training, Inc. also serves as one of the examination sites for the NREMT Advanced/EMT and Paramedic Psychomotor skills exams.
American Safety Programs & Training, Inc. headquarters is currently located in approximately a 36,000 square foot facility in Providence, Rhode Island. We continue to grow our company by offering exceptional, quality training at affordable prices. Our goal is always to turn out the best medical professionals by offering them top quality instruction that meets or exceeds their expectations.

I’ve taken three courses with ASP over the years. The school is run by the best in the buisness and the instructors all know their stuff. The school has a fully staffed kitchen and a full menu with great food.
